Wunderbrow | My thoughts + Review

Hi my loves,

I've promised you this for the past two weeks SO HERE WE HAVE IT!
I've done my fair share of teasing and giving you guys little mini reviews on this product but I wanted to put it all the details and facts - basically all my feelings together in one post.

The product I am talking about in detail for today's post is the Wunderbrow by the brand Wunder2.
These are the claims we are going to look at from the website:

Wunderbrow is a one-step, long-wearing eyebrow gel. It claims to be completely waterproof, smudge-proof, transfer-proof and lasts up to 3 days. The product uses 'Permafix' Technology to lock the Wunderbrow colour pigments and fibers onto the skin - but still promises to feel flexible and comfortable.

Ooooh you all know I love good claims and I love to go into each one and then I'll give you my thoughts at the end of the post.

The product itself is available in 5 colours (Blonde, Auburn, Brunette, Black/Brown & Jet black) - I am Black/Brown however I can use Jet Black too if I want extra definition near the tail of my brow.

Each Wunderbrow comes in a box which includes a spoolie and a tube of the product. Inside the tube there is an applicator similar to a lip-gloss wand.

So let's discuss the claims:

1. Long Wearing
I absolutely agree with this claim. My eye brows will look the exact same from when I put them on in the morning to bed time. They literally do not budge.
2. Waterproof
They are 100% waterproof and will withstand your showers or even swimming, the water alone will not lift them but if you start scrubbing your face vigorously with makeup removing products you will see fading, but not removing.
3. Smudge-proof & Transfer-proof.
YES.YES.YES.
These will transfer to NOTHING once they set. They also cannot be rubbed away. That being said you need to take your time to accurately apply the product because if you make a mistake as it dries quick and is hard to remove (oil is how to remove this product & I'll explain more below.)
4. Lasts up to 3 days
This claim for me depends on what I am doing to my face. I use a Clarisonic and if I go over my face hardcore with it I will remove some product, also if I choose to use a facial or cleansing oil and don't take care to avoid the brow area that lifts it. But, for a normal makeup removing, toning and moisturizing I will get two solid days out of my brows and on the third day I usually need to do a top up or fill in. I can imagine this lasting the three days if you didn't wear quite as heavy makeup as I do.
5. Flexible & Comfortable
So, for the parts of your brows that are sparse and you will need to draw on skin - that is completely flexible and comfortable and you will honestly forget its even there. If you decide to cover over areas where there is eyebrow hairs already, you will just get a similar feel to using an eyebrow gel through your brows

My Thoughts

First thing is first, I would absolutely recommend this product to you all to try out. If you like to get ready quickly or you wear only a small bit of makeup or you want to look polished when your makeup-less this is the product for you. It literally makes life so much easier. I don't know about anyone else but for me, my brows take up the majority of the time when it comes to my make-up and trying to get them to match so if I can even cut that down to every second or third day that is wining for me. I also think this is an amazing product for anyone going on holidays - this is the PERFECT product to fake it that you naturally have amazing brows while chilling by the pool or beach. I am all about that 'faking natural beauty' -type look and this is one of those products that helps make that achievable AND believable.
For me, I need to apply the Wunderbrow product with an angle brush (they also stock one too if you're on the hunt), but if you are brave you can attempt to use the included wand (I REALLLY recommend an angled brush though).

(Dual brush is €8.95 and can be gotten here)

They also recommend using this product on clean dry skin - I have tried it on makeup-ed face and the product does not last as long and is easier to remove.

To apply the product what I do is:

  • I pick a little product up on the angle brush.
  • I start from the arch of my brow and fill in where needs it the most using small, light strokes. You can build it up but it is hard to remove)
  • I then extend the tail of the brow
  • Then I return to the front of the brow to add a little definition.

(My brows before are the top picture and below is after)

The placement of where you fill in will depend on your own brows but the technique is the exact same as how you would apply a pot of brow pomade or a pot of gel product - you literally lightly and with small strokes, fill in where you need. and once you are happy with the shape, brush through the brows with the spoolie provided in the box. This gives me a gorgeous polished and perfect brow that still looks like it might be mine and not AT ALL like the dreaded slug brows!
If you make a mistake during application (which after you get the hang of it is rare) take the tiniest bit of oil (be it coconut oil, vitamin E oil etc.) apply some to a Q-tip and this will remove the mistake product with a little rub. This is what I meant above about being careful with oil and this product.

The Wunderbrow retails for €29.95 and you can get it from the Wunder2 website BUT you can also get it from Boots Chemists too which is great!

I hope that I have covered everything regarding this product for you guys - as always; if you have any questions, let me know on any of my social media or even in the comments (I read everything!)

With Love from,

* These products were sent to me as PR samples but AS ALWAYS my opinion in 100% my own.
