HiSmile Teeth Whitening Kit | Review + Before & After

I hope you are well!

Something I get asked a lot is how I keep my teeth white; and I am always super flattered by this because I wouldn't consider myself to have the whitest teeth in the world. I am always on the hunt for what products will make my teeth as white as they can be (without damaging them or causing sensitivity). So when HiSmile contacted me to ask me if I would like to try one of their teeth whitening kits I said yes in a heartbeat!

 Before HiSmile contacted me I was already acquainted with the brand by means of social media - they have a huge presence on social media and their teeth whitening kits have been used by so many celebrities including Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Pia Mia and Conor McGregor (men can use teeth whitening kits too!)

And if it is good enough for them, you best believe I want to give it a shot!

I was sent out the 'Teeth Whitening Kit' which retails for €54.99 and is perfect for first time users as it has everything you need to start whitening.

It includes:

- 1 x LED light

- 1 x Mouth Guard

- 3 x gels (which will do for 6 days top & bottom)

- a shade guide to monitor your progress

The ingredients in the gels are as follows:

Sodium Bicarbonate (Key Whitening Ingredient), Sodium Chlorite (Key Whitening Ingredient), Citric Acid, Aloe Leaf Juice (Light Activator), Pomegranate Seed Extract (Light Activator), Chamomile Flower Extract (Light Activator), Glycerol, Propylene Glycol, Deionized water, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Menthol.

I found the kit itself very easy to use and it was very self explanatory.

Each Syringe of the whitening gel is marked in 1/4's and it is recommended that you use half a syringe per application so that is 1/4 for the top teeth and 1/4 for the bottom teeth, for 6 consecutive days and for 10 minutes each day.

The LED light is used to help speed up the whitening process.

I do want to point out a quick disclaimer as I have mentioned before with teeth whitening kits - you have to be realistic with teeth whitening kits when it comes to you and your own teeth. If you have very badly stained teeth that have years of coffee and red wine stains no home teeth whitening product in this world will be able to take you to Simon Cowell level white teeth - also, some people have naturally slightly discoloured teeth that can never be truly white, white and I think all these things are very important to take into consideration when using and in my case reviewing a teeth whitening product.

Being Realistic is the key.

From the very first day I noticed my teeth were whiter and I was shocked as I didn't expect to see any results after only the first application. I was very dedicated and I honestly kept to it for the 6 days doing 10 minutes per session. The LED light has a very handy feature where it beeps once the 10 minutes is up so it saves you clock watching. 

I found this mouth guard type of teeth whitening kit to be much more comfortable, effective and even when it came to whitening the teeth in comparison to teeth whitening strips.

I find that whitening strips tend to spot whiten and enhance any calcium issues on your teeth (that is what those little white spots on your teeth after whitening are) and I also find that they tend to slip around and are general just more uncomfortable.

I am going to pop my before and after picture up now for you all to see - and I think the results are very telling!

As you can see, although my teeth were relatively white before, there is a definitely a difference in the after picture and how much whiter they look and I am delighted with the result.

I had no increased sensitivity either which is something that I have suffered with in the past from teeth whitening products.

Would I recommend HiSmile Teeth Whitening to you guys?

Yes, I most definitely would!

Although the kit I am reviewing today was sent to me, I will absolutely be buying more of the teeth whitening gels myself to keep the whiteness maintained! 

HiSmile also offer a subscription service which means you will never run out of your teeth whitening products which is super handy!
